The Bishopsgate Goodsyard (often referred to as The Goodsyard) is one of London’s most significant regeneration sites and will transform a long-derelict former goods yard between Shoreditch High Street and Brick Lane into a vibrant mixed-use quarter.

Once derelict since the 1960s, the 4.5-hectare site has secured planning consent for an ambitious development delivering up to 500 new homes (with a 50% affordable housing commitment), around 1.4 million sq ft of workspace, restaurants, retail, cultural facilities, and a 2.6-acre public park.

The scheme also celebrates heritage by reopening the Grade II-listed Braithwaite Arches and restoring historic structures such as Sclater Street buildings, designed to create cafés, co-working spaces and new homes while knitting the site into Shoreditch’s urban fabric. The project is expected to generate around 11,000 jobs and create new east–west pedestrian connections between Brick Lane and Shoreditch High Street, fostering a dynamic city-edge neighbourhood that supports both creative industries and local communities.

The project has been shaped through years of consultation with local residents and stakeholders and will deliver one of central London’s largest new parks, reconnecting Shoreditch High Street and Brick Lane with new public routes that honour the site’s historic footprint.
