Spitalfields Market
Spitalfields Market is a historic and evolving market destination in the heart of the Spitalfields neighbourhood with roots dating back to the 17th century. Officially chartered in 1682 and later expanded with a major Victorian market building completed in 1893, Spitalfields was long a principal fruit, vegetable and general goods market for London before relocating wholesale functions in 1991.

Following a sensitive regeneration programme completed in 2005, the market now comprises vibrant public spaces such as Bishops Square and Crispin Place, restored historic streets, independent retailers, cafés and restaurants alongside the iconic Old Spitalfields Market hall. Today the market hosts a range of traders across fashion, craft, food and art seven days a week and continues to be a focal point of cultural life, reflecting both its rich past and dynamic present.
