On Redchurch Street, Chris Dyson Architects in conjunction with LBTH conservation team and Heritage England, has played a pivotal role in conserving and revitalising key historic fabric within this vibrant Shoreditch and Spitalfields Conservation Area. Notably, CDA led the careful restoration of long-derelict 18th-century weavers’ cottages at 113 & 115 Redchurch Street, rescuing rare surviving examples of early local domestic architecture from the Heritage at Risk Register and bringing new life to the buildings with structurally sensitive repair, reinstated interior features, and ground-floor retail activation.

These restored properties knit into the evolving street scene—characterised by independent shops, studios, and galleries—help sustain the area’s unique character, bridging historic weavers’ heritage and contemporary creative urban life.
